For more than a century, March 8th was a day dedicated to activism meant to bring awareness over women’s rights at home, in society, and as well in professional life.

The world came a long way since the first women’s rights movements in 1908-1911! With ups and downs. In recent times, the pandemic brought some setbacks in 2020, while this year, the 8th of March will find many women fleeing their country with their children to start a new life, far away from the conflict and bombings or others in the basements of various building, trying to survive.

Each year, since 1996, International Women’s Day is given a theme, aligned with contemporary events, trends and struggles. This year the focus is on ‘breaking the bias’, as explained on the official website.

The first theme ever given was “Celebrating the past, Planning for the Future” and while breaking the bias is a good call for action, we should also take a moment and celebrate the achievements of the past year, despite the struggles the second year of the pandemic had in store.

At this special date, we wish to celebrate the awards winners of the Global Women Supply Chain Leaders, event organized by B2G Consulting at the end of 2021.
