Michael Nielsen is Head of Transportation APAC for Vestas. He has previously held the Head of Supply Chain APAC in Vestas before taking on the new role Jan 1, 2022. He is responsible for transportation activities and alignment to supply chain strategies over seeing a regional team with presence in most countries in the region. Originally born in Denmark, he is now residing in Singapore after having been in the region for more than 15 years and among others lived in India and China. He has held various positions in the Supply Chain functions within Maersk and Caterpillar before making the move to the Vestas. Michael holds a dual MBA degree from INSEAD and Tsinghua university under the TIEMBA program. In addition, he works as a Mentor for starts-up in Singapore through ACE and he lecturers in Change Management at IME.sg – a mini MBA program.
