China’s cross-border logistics landscape has undergone significant transformation in recent years, driven by the country’s rapid economic growth and expanding international trade. According to GACC, China achieved a significant milestone last year by surpassing 40 million yuan in foreign trade value for the first time, while also maintaining its position as the world’s leading trading nation for the sixth consecutive year.
With this in mind, our media partner Parcel Monitor has released an article on the key dynamics and developments surrounding China’s cross-border e-commerce in 2022. Key highlights of the article include:
- Shipments from China to Mexico took the longest transit time out of all the international routes observed in 2022.
- The delivery duration from China to Europe varied from 12.1 days to 16.8 days, with the shortest one being observed for parcels between China and the United Kingdom (12.1 days), while the longest duration was recorded for shipments between China and Italy (16.8 days).
- Surprisingly, shipments from China to other parts of Asia needed an equivalent or longer duration in transit as compared to shipments to Europe.
